The Forest & Woodland Association of Missouri (FWAM), and the Missouri Forestkeepers Network are investigating a partnership with Missouri Habitat for Humanity chapters to provide and plant a tree at each completed house. There are 37 Habitat for Humanity Chapters in Missouri. Each works independently in their community to build safe and affordable housing to help families create a new cycle with possibilities and progress. As Forestkeepers and FWAM members, we know how trees and forests play a key role to improve the quality of life. Remember that Trees Work to for our Health, Wallet, Environment, Family, Community and Economy. (Go to www.treeswork.org for more information). It follows that trees should be a part of any family’s Habitat! At this point, we are just gauging membership interest in assisting or supporting us in this partnership. We'd love to hear from you! Please fill out the Volunteer form below if you are have an interest in assisting.
